Why Pure Physiotherapy

Founded in 2006, Pure Physiotherapy is a clinically led organisation committed to providing quality physiotherapy care. We have grown organically based on the delivery of expert Musculoskeletal physiotherapy provision, and currently have over 350 physios working across the UK.

Pure Physiotherapy is a national First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) provider, focused on quality and sustainable provision. We provide 50,000 First Contact Physio interventions per month, working with over 1,000 GP Practices, and more than 190 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) nationally. This makes us one of the largest MSK providers to the NHS in the country.

How We Deliver FCP Support

Our extensive experience has allowed us to recognise the need to provide ongoing support, information, and innovation to the organisations we partner with. We do this in several straight-forward ways:

  • Each PCN/organisation has their own allocated team of FCP physios – we feel it’s important to give a personal service and allow the physios to be part of the practice team.
  • Typically, we will provide one or two physios for each full-time equivalent role to prevent challenges arising from annual leave, sickness, or other absences – this gives a much more consistent service, with a dedicated team for support and delivery.
  • Within your FCP team, you will have a lead clinician for ease of communication, who will be supported by our operational lead, so local information can be disseminated with transparency and accuracy.
  • We are happy to engage and join PCN meetings and service development meetings.

What is Pure MSK?

Pure Physiotherapy has been providing specialist First Contact Physiotherapy support to primary care since the early NHS England trials in 2016, through the Pure MSK brand. This makes us one of the longest providers of this specialist service in the UK.

We have learned and evolved how we support primary care substantially over this time. We are led by a clinical team of advanced clinical practitioners across a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, rheumatological and orthopaedic specialities. Clinical governance and quality assurance are embedded into our practice from top to bottom. Demonstrating this in a transparent and consistent way is something we strive for and approach in several different ways.

We currently have a team of over 350 First Contact Practitioners working across England, supporting over 150 Primary Care Networks (PCNs)

The Pure clinical leadership team works with NHS England on national clinical governance, research and data, and the evolution of the clinical road map structures to ensure consistency and quality across primary care.

We have one multiple awards for our support to primary care networks and continue to innovate with digital and traditional methods of improving patient care as well as reducing pressure on frontline primary care staff.
